Crown Response records improvement initiative
The scope and definition of care records has been developed as part of a set of initiatives, including others that are led by the Crown Response Unit.
One of the Crown Response Unit-led records improvement initiatives is the development of principles on how agencies and non-state organisations could:
respond to records requests
make redactions
ensure a consistent and transparent approach.
to make it easier for survivors of abuse to access their personal records while they were in care.
Agencies will be able to use the scope and definition of care records together with the care records principles to improve their care records practices.
