Our July Tāhuhu Thursday series was focussed around sustainability and conservation in our new facilities which includes the new building for Archives New Zealand and airbridge, alterations to the National Library and our Regional Shared Repository in Taitoko Levin. Peter Whitehead (Tāhuhu Collection Care), David Adams (Preservation and Digitisation Lead) and Denise Williams (Tāhuhu Collaboration Director) took us through the Tāhuhu Sustainability Policy and Framework. They talked about sustainable design principles and implementation, ecology, community and culture. They also looked to what other repositories are doing elsewhere in the world.

The Tāhuhu Sustainability Policy and Framework will enable sustainable design elements to be incorporated into the Tāhuhu Projects including carbon neutral objectives.

If you couldn’t attend the session, fear not – we made a recording, which you can view below.

Our next Tāhuhu Thursdays will be in August, watch this space for more info coming soon.
