Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga Archives New Zealand is New Zealand's national archive. Through our 4 reading rooms across the country and Collections search, we help you navigate more than 7 million records.

Our work ensures effective, trusted and transparent government information. We preserve and protect records dating from the early 19th century to today — including Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the National Collection of War Art and the Women’s Suffrage Petition. We connect you to your rights and our nation’s shared history, so you can access this taonga now and into the future.
