The Pushtoon (Pashtun)tribal area in what was the former North West Frontier overlapped Pakistan and Afghanistan including the Khyber Pass. It's inhabitants spoke Pashto. There was some agitation which Pakistan believed came from Afghanistan for greater autonomy for Pashtuns.
