ANZUS
The ANZUS agreement was signed 1 September 1951 between Australia, New Zealand and the United States. It allowed for all 3 countries to co-operate in the defence of the Pacific and to call on each other for military assistance.
It was in operation during the Korean, Malayan and Vietnam Wars.
