The technology gallery showcases some of the items in the Nash collection concerning the state of technology at various points of Nash's lifetime.
Gigantic technological strides were made during the span of Nash's life. Much of this was made because of two World Wars.
Even more was made because of the changing nature of society, the continuing move to the cities, the nuclear family, capitalism and mass production.
Man was firmly fixed on the ground when Nash was born, but engaged in space travel when he died. Energy was coal, wind or steam and changed to petrol, electric and atomic.
All in less than 100 years.
