Pacific
Nash was, through his Institute of Pacific Relations Membership, a keen student of the Pacific. He was an original 1926 Wellington branch member and attended overseas conferences.
The Pacific in those days focused on the larger countries like China, Canada and the United States. Most South Pacific countries were still colonies. Nash was one who pushed the interests of the South Pacific region.

Recorded in 1964, this interview features the voice of Chief Tui Komo, of Komo Island, Lau Group, Fiji. The narrator is Roy Escott and sound recorder Jack Gunn. The schoolmaster, unnamed translates. The island does not have a radio transmitter, doctor or nurse. The narrator promises to play the recording to Nash. ( Ref: NC07)
