The two pages of the Seacliff Staff Register for the Seacliff Mental Hospital, show the Date of Appointment, the Office (i.e. position), Date of Birth, Salary, Date of Leaving, Cause of Leaving and any remarks.
In particular, note the appointment of Dr Eleanor Baker as Assistant Medical Officer, one of the first women medical graduates at Otago University.
The Staff Register dates from 1864 to 1946 and contains information about staff from Dunedin Lunatic Asylum and Seacliff Lunatic Asylum also.
Some information is deleted to protect the privacy of the individual staff member. The restriction on information about staff and students is 75 years. Restrictions are administered by the Southern District Health Board.
