Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Käwanatanga is committed to providing leadership and support for archives in the community. Toolkit for Community Archives has been developed to give our communities basic information about the care and management of their archives.

The Funding Guide for Community Archives has been developed by the Community Archives Group, Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Käwanatanga, to assist people caring for community archives develop a funding strategy to improve the preservation and management of community archives.

This is the first update of the Directory of New Zealand Archives prepared by Archives New Zealand. This directory builds on the excellent work of the late Frank Rogers and his wife Rosemary Collier who prepared its predecessors. Like those earlier
publications, this version provides extensive listings of the types of holdings at repositories throughout New Zealand.
