Public Records Act 2005 Audit Programme
To meet its obligations under section 33 of the Public Records Act 2005, Archives New Zealand is implementing a programme to audit the recordkeeping of public offices.
Through Public Record Act audits the New Zealand Government gains assurance that recordkeeping practice is making an effective contribution to public offices:
- running efficiently and without waste, being focused, effective, and productive
- delivering high quality, trusted, relevant and accessible services to citizens.
