Public Records Act 2005 Audit Programme
To meet its obligations under section 33 of the Public Records Act 2005, Archives New Zealand has implemented a programme to audit the recordkeeping of public offices.
Through Public Record Act 2005 audits the New Zealand Government gains assurance that recordkeeping practice is making an effective contribution to public offices:
- running efficiently and without waste, being focused, effective, and productive
- delivering high quality, trusted, relevant and accessible services to citizens.
