Archives New Zealand is developing a work programme focused on raising information management capability across both public offices and local authorities, and ensuring our regulatory approach is fit for purpose in an increasingly digital environment.
From 17 September to 12 October 2018, we want to share our work with all our stakeholders to hear what you think about what we’re either planning to do, or have already started. In particular we want to know:
- What differences will the programme make for you?
- What do you think we should prioritise and why?
- What have we missed?
For this engagement, we will be primarily using a New Zealand-based, online, open source collaboration tool called Loomio. This tool allows us to have dynamic, moderated discussions with a range of stakeholders, and to share information and explore any issues raised by participants. This will be supplemented by targeted engagement with some stakeholder groups. We will also welcome feedback to our email@example.com address.
The Archives New Zealand Regulatory Programme discussion is open to anyone who wants to join – you just need a valid email address. If you want to sign up as part of your organisation and as an individual, that’s fine. It’s very easy to join the discussion, simply follow the link above and sign up. If this is your first time using Loomio you will be prompted to create an account. If you already have a Loomio account you will be taken straight to the group after you log in. There is an online manual here.
Within the discussion we’ve set up an introductory thread as well as threads for the four themes that the programme is shaped around. These themes represent what we think you need from us to:
- Understand information management
- Set up information management
- Make information management happen, and
- Be supported.
